Requesting a design
How to send a request, write a brief that works and save a draft to finish later.
Open Request a design from the sidebar, the command bar (press N) or Home.
- Pick the kind of work first. Each kind lists what one request covers.
- Write the brief. Questions appear as you pause typing, to fill the gaps a designer would ask about. Help me write it drafts a brief from a few words; check it before you send.
- Add files and timing. Attach anything you have (old versions, sites you admire) and give the real date you need it by, and why.
Drafts
If you leave part-way, your request is saved as a draft and shown on Requests. Drafts are cleaned up after 30 days.
Work outside your plan
If a kind of work isn't in your plan, the page says so and offers the plan that includes it. Team members who ask for out-of-plan work send it to the account owner to decide.
Writing a good brief
- Say what it's for. "A one-pager to leave on the trade-show stand" beats "a brochure".
- Give the real date, and why. We plan back from it.
- Attach what you have. Rough is fine.
